Loss-In-Weight Feeding
Klausen Process Machinery’s Duraflex™ range of screw feeders is engineered for high-accuracy, repeatable material dosing across a wide range of bulk materials and process environments. Available in both volumetric and gravimetric configurations, the system provides reliable feed rate control regardless of variations in bulk density or material characteristics.
The feeder is built on a stainless steel frame and chassis as standard, ensuring structural integrity, corrosion resistance, and suitability for hygienic and industrial applications. At the core of the system is a flexible hopper constructed from durable, food-grade polyurethane, offering excellent wear resistance and long service life.
The hopper incorporates a dynamic flexing action that continuously conditions the material, promoting consistent mass flow into the screw. This significantly reduces the risk of bridging, rat-holing, and material compaction, resulting in improved feeding accuracy—even with cohesive or poorly flowing materials.
Designed for versatility, the Duraflex™ feeder can handle a broad range of materials, including fine powders, coarse granules, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and semi-fluid products.
Operational efficiency is enhanced through a maintenance-friendly design. Key components can be quickly removed without tools, minimising downtime and simplifying cleaning and product changeovers.
